Fall Home Tour - Master Bedroom

 Happy Fall! I haven't blogged for awhile so I thought I'd do a little Fall tour.  Here are some shots of my bedroom.

 I still love piles of pillows and blankets...the more the better!

A Cute Ole' Grannie Chair

Not everyone may like it...

But that's okay...  it's an old swivel cushy chair... found at good ole' Salvation Army!  The flowers and ruffled bottom are so cute! When I picked up the cushion...look what I found...originally it was from "Dayton's" which is an upscale store in Minnesota!  It even had a little moving sticker from whenever the homeowner moved here.  Now it has a new home, in my guest bedroom, at my desk!  Thanks, Grannie!  I'll take good care of it!  (By the way, the pillow was a .99 cent find, too!)

A Peek Inside My Guest Bedroom

A few pictures of my guest bedroom.  I have a "travel theme" in here.  Plus it's a spot to display some of my heirlooms.  I also like lots of pillows, as you can see!

The painted nightstand belonged to my grandpa.  He used to have it next to his favorite chair and always kept a magnifying glass in it.  So I keep a magnifying glass in there, too. I'm pretty sentimental that way!

Five Dollar Desk

                   

While out thrifting a week ago I scored this cute little school desk for $5! It just needed a little cleaning. I already had the chair...so now I have the whole ensemble!  I dressed it up with a darling old school book that came from my great-aunt's home.   Then I added a few other books, an old flag, ruler, and some cute little children's games!

Springing Back to Blogging

 The last few months have been so busy...I had to put blogging on hold.  Hopefully now I can get back to blogging now and then!  I sure do enjoy reading other blogs and seeing all the wonderfully talented and creative people out there! I'm posting a few new pics from in my house...just random!  Leave me a message to say hi ~ I'd love to hear from whoever reads my blog!

Giving Thanks

Hello again!  Getting ready for Thanksgiving and I have all my fall decor out.  I'm working on making the home cozy and welcoming for the fall holidays.  Thought I'd share a few photos.
