Some Fall Decor to Share

I started putting out some Fall decorations. I'm waiting with the Halloween stuff. On my mantle lots of leaves, berries, pumpkins and candles. My kids always enjoy these little lighted houses. My mom purchased them years ago!

I put a candle in a jelly jar...thought it looked cute!

Yummy smelling candles burning...my kids kept asking if I was baking something with cinnamon!

September Garden

I don't get to spend enough time out here. I sure do love all the flowers though. Better enjoy them while I can! Chicago summers don't last long. One of these days I will post about what this house looked like before we moved in. Everything you see is what I've planted. All the house had were some ugly old bushes. Hope you've enjoyed my little tour!

Rooster Lampshade

Found this little lampshade at a sidewalk sale in Lake Geneva, WI. Sweet little roosters on it! It now has a home on my kitchen counter.

Lovin' My New Hardwood Floors

New couches to go with the newly refinished hardwood floors came last week. Can't wait to start putting up fall decorations! Is it too early?

I brought up Great-Grandma's trunk and added it to the room.

Dover got a new dog bed. Stay off those new couches, Dover!!!

He's not too sure about that.

Then I took my white table and a corner shelf and painted them black. I like the change!

My antique chair is here for now. I feel like I'm in a new house! The kids are back in school. Elizabeth starts preschool next week. The house is so much more organized when I have time to get things done and not "mom" requests all day long! Hooray for school! :-)
